The construction inscription of İskender Pasha Mosque dated 936 H., 1529 AD is on the entrance gate on the facade. There is also an inscription here belonging to the restoration of the building in 1882, when it reached its current state.
Additions were made to the mosque at different times and its originality was damaged by repairs. The minaret was built in an alternative style with bricks and colored stones. The main plan of the building is similar to the Green Mosque in Iznik. The mihrab and pulpit are made of marble. It has 19th century Baroque decorations. There are borders and cartridges with large leaves and curved branches on them. There are also hand-carved decorations inside the mosque.
